Wow! What an amazing move of God we had at the W.O.W Ladies conference last weekend! Aren’t they a beautiful bunch of girls?! The devil tried to slow everyone down with the rain and the threat of flooding, but the praying folks at Crossroads Free Pentecostal just prayed that water away from the church. We experienced some life changing moments and I praise God and give Him glory for allowing us into His presence.
Ruth 2:14 ……And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched [corn], and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.
I want to give all you girls (and guys) a Word that the Lord whispered into my ear just last night. Remember to eat! Now, really. How many of us need to be reminded to do THAT?? Hahaha. I’m talking about feeding your soul. If you’ve ever been around to hear my personal testimony, then you know about “Boaz”. God has promised that HE will put us in the field of Boaz. This promise means different things for different people. For you, the field of Boaz might be a place of protection. For others, it may be a place of favor. For me, its a place of grace. When you finally come to the field, there are things to remember. Last night as I was praying, God said, “It’s Boaz’s field, so let Him feed you.” We are all about grace and mercy and basking in the goodness of the Lord in the field! But we must remember to be fed. As you recall in the story of Ruth, she had a job to do, and that was gleaning among the sheaves, so that she could take the barley home to Naomi. This was so they wouldn’t starve! BUT while she was in the field, she was fed by the hand of Boaz. Even though she was a girl on a mission, she still had to stop to eat! That’s what we have to do. While we are in the field, we have to remember to “come to the table” of the Lord and feast on His truth. Ruth needed the nourishment that Boaz offered her so that she could carry her bountiful, days work back home to Naomi. I’m thankful that we have a heavenly Father Who will place us in the field, allow us to glean, let us eat from His hand, and Who will send us home satisfied. Remember to fill up your heart, mind, and soul with the good things of the Lord!!

Luke 19:29-34
And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called [the mount] of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, Saying, Go ye into the village over against [you]; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring [him hither]. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose [him]? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
I was reading this portion of scripture the other night when the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said…”If I loose you, I have need of you”. When God sets us free, it isn’t only for our good, or just so we can do what we want to do, but for His purpose and glory! If He has loosed you from anything, He has a plan for your freedom! We are not to wander about aimlessly, but seek His face and discern his will. Loose him! When God says it, it will be. And remember, some may question why God would choose to loose and use folks like you and me. But they don’t know the Father’s will or his gracious plan for our lives. Don’t be discouraged by skepticism or negativity from others. He has set you free to serve. He has set you free to love. He has loosed you so that He can use you! One final thought….that colt was born for the service of Jesus. That was the pre-destined reason for his life. He may have been tied for a while, but that bondage was only for a season…..when Jesus spoke the word, he was set free to serve his purpose. Wow! Isn’t it exciting to know that our chains are gone and that even with our scars, He has need of us in the Kingdom?

That’s the theme of our conference on Saturday-Women on the Front Line! This should be a powerful service…I’m so looking forward to seeing what God will do and how he will speak to our hearts. I invite you to come if you are in the area! I will be speaking and singing at this event.
Women of God are on the front lines of life every single day! We face tons of opposition if many different forms. My faith certainly comes under fire, as does my peace of mind, my trust in people and the Word. But sometimes we face more “sneakier” attacks from the enemy, such as complacency and contentment in our prayer life, meditation and study time, and daily walk with God. It can get rough out there! Battles are sometimes long and sometimes sudden, but we have a God on our side Who has never lost a battle! We fight an enemy that is already defeated! God wants you to win.
Jer 1:18-19
For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I [am] with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.

I’m looking forward to a special service in my hometown, Waynesboro, this Sunday night. At the First Baptist Church, my cousin, Noel, will be confirmed as the associate Pastor and Youth Minister. I’m going to sing ”Purpose and Passion”. I believe it is both of our ministry statements!

I’m loving this bea-u-ti-ful South MS weather! It just makes you wanna spend every second outdoors.
I just got back from an amazing trip to MO! I was part of a youth conference (Restoration 2009) with my long time friends at Westside Family Life Center in Willow Springs. Wow! God moved in an awesome, refreshing way, with serious restoring power. I loved my kids! They were incredible. Unbelievable testimonies! I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses their lives. Special thanks to Leah Watson for the long trips back and forth to the airport and Pastor D.L. for the hospitality!
My fam and I got to to spend a couple of days in Nashville last week visiting my sis and bro-in-law,Kelly and Ricky, and our great friend Bob Crout. We had a blast! While I was there I got a new Blackberry and I love it! Now I can blog at anytime, anywhere:) I’m posting pics from my trips and Mexico on facebook….
One of the teen girls I taught this weekend brought out a wonderful, thought provoking point that I thought I would share. She said “I believe a big part of restoration is forgiving.” How true! We can not really begin to be restored and healed until we forgive . Most of the time we forgive only if the other person is “sorry”. The hard part is forgiving when we don’t see any remorse or repentance on the other’s part. That’s when we love and forgive because that’s what Christ did for us! Man, that’s a crucial lesson to learn in life and the quicker you “get” that, the better your days and nights will be.

As I was reading the Word a couple of nights ago, this verse captured me. (Luke 11:9) And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
I knew God a message for me. I started praying, “Lord, let me receive what you have for me!” Over and over again I prayed that prayer, until the Holy Spirit interrupted me and said, “No,no, no. You are missing it. Receiving is a given. Finding is a given. An opened door is a given. All you have to do is ask, seek, and knock.”
Ok…then I began to think about my prayers. How much time have I spent begging to receive, when He has already said I shall?? I believe that God has a blessing for us. I think that I’ve missed the mark somedays by “asking amiss”. He wants us to ask for Him, Seek Him, Knock on His Heart. It’s funny. When God says He wants to bless you, what you think is important, isn’t. What you thought you needed, you don’t. All you can ASK for is more of Him. Remember King Solomon’s request? I believe he had a moment like that. God told Him to ask for what He wanted and He would give it to him. All Solomon wanted was the wisdom and knowledge to rule God’s people. Wow! I’ve always been very impressed by that attitude. But now that I think of it, the riches, the fame, the glory that Solomon could’ve asked for wouldn’t have mattered if He didn’t have the wisdom of God to deal with it. Seek ye first……Do your part and God WILL do His.

Isaiah 41:10
‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
No matter what! That’s a Word that has been on my heart as I have ministered to folks for the past two weeks. No matter what, God is faithful. No matter what, His love will never fail. Everything else in your life may fall a part, but HE will be strong. We all need a solid rock when the ground is sinking sand. We need an arm to hold us that won’t brake when our strongholds have snapped. We need a friend who will love us anyway when we are our worst possible self. We need a “No Matter What” Hope in our lives! When we finally realize that He is that Hope, our joy is made complete. When your joy is stable when all hell brakes loose, then you know you have Something that is working! No matter what, He is everything that you need.
