I love this fall weather! In South Mississippi you celebrate at the first sign of autumn. I’m ready for pumpkins, mums, and sweet potato pie!!
We are having a blast at the store! Lamplighter Christian Bookstore was opened over 30 years ago. It is such a bright spot in our close knit town. I’m so thankful that God has expanded our family’s ministry in allowing us to be the new owners! Every single day someone will walk through the doors needing a word of encouragement. Somedays they are the ones lifting us up! I have met so many wonderful people who may be buying a Bible for a friend, music for church, or a gift for a family who has lost a loved one. I am daily inspired, and have shed a few tears while sharing testimonies of God’s faithfulness with others.:)
Sunday, I had the blessing of being able to minister at the church that my former youth pastor now pastors in Moss Point,MS. Even on Pastor Appreciation Day, you can’t really put into words or actions just how much you appreciate the love and sacrifices of your pastor and his family. I was so honored to a be a part of Bro. Jeff and Sis. Missy Saksa’s special day! His hand is on this family.
God is up to great things, as usual! I am finishing up booking the remainder of the year. If you are interested in booking a fall service, please contact me.

I had a dream two nights ago with this specific verse in it. I dreamt I was at a church with a group of people standing around. A friend of mine was on his cell phone. He covered one end of the cell and, with a lot of emotion in his voice, he told me and another friend of mine to pray Daniel 99 over and over…..it was like he was asking us to intercede for the person he was talking to on the phone. When I woke up, I remembered everything so clearly and the first thing I did was reach for my Bible. I knew that Daniel 99 didn’t exist, so I looked up Daniel 9:9, a verse that I do not remember ever reading. I was floored by what it read: To the Lord our God [belong] mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him; I felt maybe that God was giving me Word for our service that Sunday morning, but then I just felt an overwhelming, compelling, urge to pray this scripture, exactly like in my dream, for one I knew needed hope. I’m blogging about this to encourage you, maybe to remind you, that indeed, to our God BELONGS mercies (notice the plural) and forgivenesses, even when we have walked away from him. Never before has God ministered to me through a dream, but I know He will work His purpose through it! Joel 2:28,29 . And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29. And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

I caught this little gem from the Word this morning and it almost blew me away! How many times have I read this portion of Scripture and not realized its entire significance, because I skipped the verse before it? Wow. Here we go…Isaiah 54: 16,17. -Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the Lord.
What this clearly says to me, is that I’m safe. I’m safe because God Himself created the one who created the weapon. God Himself purposed a weapon to destroy. And since I am the apple of His eye, (Praise the Lord) and precious in His sight, NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME WILL PROSPER. He is in control from top to bottom! Going all the way back to the beginning stage, He’s in control of the fire used to shape and refine the weapon. So, if it is MAN’S will to destroy you, you can be sure (and safe) that God has your back! Yes! He is the maker of all. Let’s go back a few verses………..10. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. 11. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, [and] not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. 12. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. 13. And all thy children [shall be] taught of the Lord; and great [shall be] the peace of thy children. 14. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. 15. Behold, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. 16. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the Lord.
What a heritage we have as Children of God! Know today that you are covered, SAFE because you know the One Who knows it all!

It’s been a while since I blogged, so I will catch you up quickly on what all has been going on with me and the McRae clan! First, we are in the process of moving our internet, so I’m having to blog from my BlackBerry.(Something I’m not fond of doing..) I had a wonderful Word for you last week, spent at least 45 minutes pecking away on this tiny keyboard of my phone, only to accidentally delete the whole blog when I finished! Ugh! Oh, well..lol..here we go! The most exciting news is that my parents have bought the Christian Bookstore in my hometown! We are super excited about this venture! It’s a beautiful ministry and we are thankful for the leading of the Holy Spirit during this time. We are staying very busy on weekdays, along with my dates on the weekends. Yes, I’m still speaking and singing! Lol..that is the question I get asked A LOT…God has just expanded my ministry! I’m so grateful for His goodness! I’m holding several Ladies conferences this year and I will get the info up on those asap…Continue to lift us up in prayer!
The Word that has been on my heart is from Genesis 14…Abraham’s nephew was taken captive by a wicked king. Abraham didn’t have an army to fight his battles, so the scriptures say that he “armed his household and pursued” the enemy. This has really made an impact in my life…especially lately with the changes in my family’s lives. We may not have a trained host of warriors by our side in the time of Spiritual warfare, but if we arm our household, as Abraham did, with faith, Truth, and the blood of the Lamb, through prayer we can win! Praise Him for overcoming power!
